At Matisse Framing we strive to be innovative and creative by designing frames for your artworks and treasures that have that ‘Wow‘ factor. Our craftsmanship and attention to detail is second to none. We know that items framed by our studio will cause people to stop and look and continually admire. Our aim is framing for life and our guarantee is assured because we use only quality materials and proven framing methods.

This family owned business was established over 21 years ago by Donna & Ian Lauder. Ian, a qualified framer, has seen many changes in the framing profession in the last two decades and attributes much of the success of the business to his passion for and knowledge of advanced framing methodology. The result is that many Matisse Framing customers continually return to have more items framed.

Matisse Framing have been at its present location since October 1989. All framing is done on site using quality materials. We offer personalised service and our creative consultants can show you alternative ways of framing. We encourage our customers to view our photographic portfolio of creative framing. With our knowledge, skills and experience we believe we can show you various ways to enhance whatever you wish to frame. Our speciality is framing your artwork with care and personal attention. Our customer database allows us to retrieve framing records going back to 1992. Our customers include individuals, businesses, corporate and government organisations not only from Brisbane, but statewide and interstate.

	Ian Lauder QPF Customer satisfaction and loyalty is of paramount importance for Ian who is a Qualified Framer certified by the Qld Government. For many years he has been an industry representative for the State's framers and involved with setting up and implementing training for apprentices, an area he still is involved with. Picture framing is his passion and Ian’s reward is the enjoyment he receives with every satisfied customer. In his words "Creating works of art gives people a lot of satisfaction." Sharon Kennedy BA(Lit., Media.) QPF Sharon is a Qualified Framer certified by the Queenland Government. Sharon has an Arts degree and has been with Matisse Framing for over three and a half years, in which time she has completed her apprenticeship. She is very creative, has a keen eye for detail, loves a challenge and is very exacting in what she does. In her time at Matisse Framing she has developed a very keen following amongst clients. Lucas Calvert QPF Lucas completed his apprenticeship at Matisse Framing some years ago. He is now a very experienced framer and is also the official trainer for apprentices in Qld. He assists us during busy periods and his great wealth of knowledge is always appreciated.
